About the Bridge House ....
When I think about Bridge House, I think about the people who helped us get here.
Our story began in 2007, when Rick Jurzyk and Chris Saley opened the doors in Milford. They laid the foundation for a restaurant that would become an important part of my life—and a familiar gathering place for so many people.
In 2016, Rob Cyr and I came on board, becoming part of the next chapter. Rob has since moved on from the restaurant, but his contributions are part of our history, and I’m grateful for the role he played along the way.
Joining Bridge House meant stepping into something people already cared about. There were longtime guests, familiar faces behind the bar, and employees who knew the restaurant inside and out. Becoming part of that came with a responsibility to respect what had been built while helping it grow.
Since then, we’ve learned, made changes, worked through challenges, and kept moving forward. Progress often happens in small moments: a new employee finding their confidence, a busy shift coming together, or a guest returning because someone made them feel welcome.
And none of that happens without the staff.
To everyone who has worked at Bridge House over the years: thank you. Whether you were here for a short chapter or have spent years alongside us, your effort matters. You brought your personality, your skills, your ideas, and your time. In one way or another, you left your mark.
That includes the people washing dishes and keeping us ready for the next rush. The cooks taking pride in what leaves the kitchen. The bartenders, servers, hosts, and managers looking after our guests and each other. It includes those who trained someone new, picked up an extra shift, or quietly did the things that needed doing.
Some of you are still here. Others have moved on to new opportunities and different chapters in your lives. My appreciation extends to all of you. What you contributed remains part of this place.
As an owner, I spend a lot of time thinking about what comes next and what we can do better. But looking ahead also means recognizing the people who helped bring us this far.
To our guests, thank you for choosing us—for your everyday dinners, your family gatherings, your celebrations, and your honest feedback. Every return visit gives us another opportunity to earn your trust.
Bridge House has grown through years of people showing up, caring about their work, and adding something of themselves to the restaurant.
I’m proud of how far we’ve come. I’m grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey. And I’m excited to keep building on what we’ve created together.
